This kit has three purposes. It properly positions the lower shock so that you don't have any rubbing on the lower coil bucket or actual coil during articulation.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis normally happens on lifted Wranglers when the axle is rolled up to work with a CV style driveshaft. It gains you ground clearance. This kit requires removing the OEM lower shock mount which is discarded.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe new shock mount welds in behind the lower OEM control arm bracket. By welding this 3\/16 laser cut and bent bracket to the lower control bracket and axle tube you in tern strengthen this mount.
